Lots of things happened this week. Read on to learn more about Switzerland and Morocco.
Are we there yet? Tuesday we hiked up a mountain. As we hiked, we saw lots, and I mean lots of cats. We saw more than six. Two of the cats were fighting. They looked like Garfield and Nermal from the comics. Tuesday was a long day because we had to walk 8km to a really good playground and back and half of it was uphill. The walk was very scenic and it was very cool being that high. The walk was worth it because we saw mountains and waterfalls and a town.
Weeeee! Not as fast as I thought but very scenic. Today I am also going to tell you about the gondola up the mountain. Look at all the wires and gears. That is how the gondolas work. When the noise that sounds like an ambulance starts it means that the gondola is coming. The gondola is very safe. I should know I have been on it 10 times. It is so cool being in the air. You are inside which is safer but more crowded with people. Did you know that there are two types of gondolas? One is on the water like the ones in Venice and the other one is the air. I took the air gondola.
Hey. Do you want to buy this? No! Guess what we did. We moved to Morocco on Sunday. We moved into the crowded streets of Marrakech. In Marrakesh, there are hotels, museums, lots of stores, and motorcycles. The motorcycles are really annoying because the streets are really small so we all have to squish into the wall so that the motorcycles can get through. It is busy busy busy at the big market at the center of the old town. At the market, you can see snake charmers, monkeys, and lots of people trying to sell you stuff and if you don’t buy their stuff they will say thank you for not coming. How weird is that? I wonder why they say that?
Welcome to Riad Nora – the most peaceful place in Marrakech and our home for the week. It is a house that is built around an open center. A long time ago, houses were built with an open courtyard to give the family privacy and fresh air.
See you next time! Hopefully monkeys don’t snatch me up first!
