This week we ate breakfast on the roof, smelled fish in the fish market and rode on horses. Read on to learn more.
Bee! Don’t get stuck in the honey…. and… he’s stuck. What an amazing view. Today I am going to talk about my breakfast that was not so ordinary. Remember me saying what an amazing view? Well, it is because I am having breakfast on the roof at our Riad. There are loads of animals that come here, like birds, bees, flies, crickets, and even a stray cat. There are so many things for breakfast, how to choose? From pancakes to fig jam, there are a lot of interesting things to try in Morocco. My favorite thing so far is the pancakes. Tweet, meow, buzz! It is like the animals want our attention, then they will steal our breakfast! Sometimes I want peace and quiet. A bird chirping is not quiet.
Ew. What is that smell? To the people that work here, that is the smell of money but to me, it smells like fish. Dive dive dive! That is what the seagulls are saying when they see all the fresh smelly raw fish. The hundreds of cats love it too! We are not in Marrakech anymore. We are in Essaouira, the fishing town with tide pools and beaches. I can’t wait to go to the beaches. To go to the beaches we have to go through the smelly fish market. There, people were cutting fish, selling fish and looking at fish. It was very funky smelling.
“I will ride chase the wind and touch the sky”. I feel like the girl from Brave on my Arabian horse. It was awesome being on a horse again. Next, I am going to tell you about my horseback ride on the beach in Essaouira. My horse was named Princess. Have you ever heard about the Black Stallion. Well, some of the horses that are on the ranch are the some breed. “Woah, girl!” All of the horses want to be in the front. Especially my mom’s horse, Diva. She is certainly living up to her name! On the ranch, there are three dogs. The one that I like the most is Gizmo. Gizmo was a beautiful mix dog. Gizmo did not let me go. He wanted me to pet me more. Gizmo loves going along on trail rides with the horses but he almost got squished too!
My time is up in Morocco. I really liked it here but I will see you next time in Venice on a gondola! Goodbye for now.
