What a strange week in Morocco! Turtles crawling in the restaurant, daddy almost floating away and cats roaming freely.
Oh, Look! Turtles! How nice! You are probably wondering where I am. Well, I am in a cafe called Henna Cafe. They have every type of Moroccan food. They have chickpeas, couscous and even this thing called lentils. At the cafe, there were turtles under the chairs. They were fighting but they kept slipping on the tile floor. I think they were fighting for the food on the floor.
Bzzzz! Oh! And there goes half of Dad. Quick! Someone grab him before he floats away. Last week, we went to get Dad a haircut. He walked in with lots of hair and he walked out with not much left on his head. We went to a tiny little shop in a tiny little alley for dad’s haircut in Marrakech. After the haircut, dad did not look like my dad anymore. I like my dad with scruffily hair more!
“Siena! Stop trying to pet all the cats!” That was the one-hundredth time I had to tell Siena to leave the poor cats alone. Every time we leave the Riad in Essaouira, we find cats everywhere. Big, small, short, and skinny cats everywhere. We see them in boxes, shelves and in doorways. Did you know most cats in Morocco are stray cats? The cats love it here because there are so many fish here.
We made it through Morocco safely except my dad with his hair! Now on to Venice! Gondola, please!
