Today, I am going to tell you about horse races in Siena, the best beef in the world and the Festival of the Thrush.
Oh! There goes the jockey! This week, I am going to tell you about racing in Siena. Did you know that in Siena they don’t use cars in their races? They use horses. They also do the races in the main square and it is super dangerous. It is super dangerous because there are so many sharp turns and the square is not very big. Last but not least, if you fall off your horse but your horse wins, you can still win. Now I need to help the jockey get back on his feet!
Here comes our beef! Wait! It is not cooked? On Wednesday, we went to a restaurant called Osteria Acquacheta. Did you know that they show the steak to you before they cook it? Out of all the steak I have ever had, this place has the best because it is made from special Italian cows. But before you get your steak, you get pears melted in cheese and it was delicious.
Emmm! What is this sauce made out of? Rabbit!? I think I lost my appetite. On Saturday, we went to the Festival of the Thrush. To start the festival, they need to pick one person from each neighbourhood to be archers. Each neighbourhood is a team. I did not go to the archery contest because it happens on the second day. It used to be where you would shoot a bird called the thrush. Now they just shoot a target and the winner gets a silver arrow. The food there was so good, except the Polenta Fritta. That was dried and hard. The rest of the food was so good. The rest of the food was so good. The noodles were so tasty and the sauce was good but I didn’t know what the sauce was until the end when mom told me it was rabbit. I still liked it.
Well, that was a fun blog post. My favorite thing this week was having the beef. My second favorite thing was learning about the horse race in Siena. Now me and my family need to run away again.
