Liam’s Minecraft Story

Warning! This story contains many references to a game called Minecraft, where players use blocks to build digital worlds. As such, some of the words and meanings might be confusing. 🙂 This story was crafted while on our cruise across the Atlantic to replace the usual blog post about our visits to various places. Not only was it a lesson in creative writing but, as we were not going to be visiting any new places as we crossed the Atlantic, it allowed us to continue our writing.

Liam’s Minecraft Story

In the beginning, there was nothing. But then the Admin popped into existence. Then he crafted the trees, sculpted the mountains and made the rivers. But where one story ends, another begins.

George, the cat, woke up suddenly to a knock on his door. It was a note and it read, “Come to my house. Signed, the Mayor.”

“I think I should head there,” he thought out loud. So, he did.

“Howdy, Mayor!”

“Hello, George,” said the Mayor.

“How can I help you?” said George.

“I need you to find the treasure in the End Dimension so we can make our village bigger!”

“But I am just a cat,” he wispert.

“I heard there is no water in the End Dimension,” said the Mayor.

George hated water.

“Let’s do this! Bye, Mayor!” said George.

The mayor said farewell and good luck. George jumped over to the minecarts used for transport, hopped in and was off to the end portal. After an hour, he observed the rails in front of him and they were gone! He would have to jump for it! 3, 2, 1, jump, splat on his face!

“Ow!” said George. “Oh! Zombies!”

Shong! He slashed at the zombie’s head. More Zombies. I think I need to run for it as he backflipped into the end portal.

Bonk! George hit the ground of the end dimension. Roar! Oh no! The Ender Dragon. Then he noticed that the Ender Dragon was getting power from the crystals. Then he jumped onto one of the Ender Crystals poles, aimed and jumped into the middle of the area and shoot all the crystals in mid-air. Then he jumped onto the Ender Dragon and flew it right into the void. Then jumped off. Then he ran to the chest. In it, there were 8 diamonds and the Ender Dragon egg worth millions.

“This will really help my village,” said George as he started back to the village.
