Last week, I went to Epcot but I am going to tell you about the country pavilions. I am going to tell you the difference between the real Morocco and Epcot Morocco, the real Venice and the Epcot Venice and the real France and the Epcot France.
Hey! Look! We are in Morocco but why isn’t it crowded? During our visit to Epcot, we went to Morocco and, first, I am going to tell you the difference between the real Morocco versus the Epcot Morocco. First of all, the real Morocco is way busier. Epcot is busy too but not as busy and you are much less likely to get pickpocketed in the Epcot Morocco. In the real Epcot Morocco, there is no trash of any kind but in the real Morocco, the ground looks like it is made of trash; gum, magazines, pop bottles and a whole lot more everywhere you look. The last reason that Epcot Morocco is different than the real Morocco…the cats! The cats in Morocco are everywhere! I counted 650 cats.
Swish, Splash! Wait a minute! Where are the canals and gondolas? Am I in Venice or Epcot? Our next stop was to the Italy Pavilion. I have a couple of things wrong with this stop. First of all, there are no canals! What is Venice without canals? As you know, canals are how people get around because you can’t have cars, bikes or motorcycles and all other types of transportation are impractical like a Pogo stick. Boing. Boing. Boing. Splash! Second of all, there is no Bridge of Sighs in Epcot! That is one of the many great things in Venice and Epcot doesn’t have it. Last but not least, Epcot made the Doge’s Palace into a gift shop, it’s not even on the right side of the square and it is so small. So if I wanted to go to Venice I would go to the real one.
For the France pavilion, I visualized gleaming lights colors and the Notre Dame but that was just my imagination. The first difference was between the real France and the Epcot France was that there is no Notre Dame! The Notre Dame was the pride of France! Before the Eiffel Tower was built. In real France, there are so many pastry shops but in Epcot France, there is only one big pastry shop inside an indoor cafeteria all the others are stands. Last but not least you can’t go up the main attraction the Eiffel Tower but I can’t blame them though. How can Epcot make it so that you can go up the Epcot Eiffel Tower I am pretty sure that it was not made for that.
Those are all the reasons that the real Morocco, Venice, and France are all different than the ones at Epcot. I hope this did not change your perspective of Epcot because Epcot is an amazing place too.
