The area around Queenstown was so beautiful. It was nice to be able to walk right from our apartment into the Botanical Garden and relax with the quiet sounds of water lapping on the shoreline. The gardens were quite large and integrated a number of activities and areas into it’s design. Of course, nothing really beat the view of the Remarkables. It was funny. Everyone crowded in town along the streets running alongside the lake to see the views, when, with just a short walk you could catch beautiful views of the mountains with hardly anyone around.
